Speroni

Exterior

Speroni is a beautifully restored house that sleeps four people in two extremely spacious double bedrooms.  It is set in a magnificent position just north of Lago Trasimeno and close to two classic hilltop villages with restaurants and shops.  Elegant furnishings, a stunning swimming pool and far reaching views of the surrounding Umbrian hills makes Speroni an outstanding villa in a fabulous location and a very special place in which to stay for an Italian holiday. No children.

Reception room

Double French windows lead from one of the outside terraces into the downstairs reception room.  This room has a dining table and comfortable easy chairs and sofa. .  Other French widows open onto the other side of the house from the main entrance and out to the path that leads to the swimming pool.

Lounge

A wood burning stove and central heating make this room really cosy for those times of the year when you will not be outside on the sun drenched terraces.  A door leads into the kitchen.

Kitchen

The kitchen is quite small but extremely well equipped with all modern facilities that include a dishwasher and washing machine.

Bedroom

A marble tiled staircase leads up to the first floor and the two double bedrooms.  The first bedroom at the front of the house has a double bed that can be converted into two single beds if requested at the time of your reservation.  A bathroom with bath tub and shower is positioned immediately next to the bedroom door.

Bedroom

The room is extremely spacious and with elegant furnishings, dressing table and sofa this room is a charming and comfortable haven.

View

Windows on three sides of the bedroom, including French windows, afford fabulous far reaching views such as this panoramic autumnal scene over the surrounding Umbrian countryside to the distant hills of Tuscany.

Bedroom

The second bedroom is to the right of the staircase at the other end of the house.  These single beds can also be configured into a double bed if required.  There is an ensuite bathroom with large walk in shower.

Terrace

Surrounding the house there are a series of terraces with stylish garden furniture.  Speroni is immersed in the beautiful Umbrian countryside and the views and landscapes from these terraces are entrancing. Here the hilltop village of Preggio can be seen in the distance.

Pool

A pathway leads to the swimming pool which is positioned a short distance away, up and beyond the owner’s own house.  There is a plentiful supply of sun loungers and chairs and there is a delightful covered terrace fronting an artist’s studio which provides additional shade if required.

Exterior

The British couple who own Speroni live in this neighbouring house, which is located adjacent to Speroni at about 25 mts distance, and are on call to help with any assistance that might be required.  They have created a beautiful garden with banks of lavender, roses and other lovely features that surrounds both properties.

View

These panoramic views which can be seen from everywhere at Speroni ~ the terrace, pool and bedrooms, are stunning.  The two neighbouring quintessential Italian hilltop villages of Castle Rigone and Preggio have restaurants and small shops and one of Italy’s largest lakes ~ Lago Trasimeno ~ with its own aquatic attractions is just a short distance away as well.

Speroni is located close to the border with Tuscany which means that the cultural gems of both these fabulous regions of central Italy are easily accessible.  Assisi, Citta di Castello, Gubbio, Montefalco, Montone, Orvieto, Perugia, Spello, Spoleto and Todi in Umbria and Arezzo, Cortona, Lucignano, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza and Siena in Tuscany to name just a few of the lovely sights, are all close by.

Speroni is an enchanting property in a most captivating part of Italy and provides a truly fabulous holiday villa.
