Casa Ravano

Casa Ravano is captivating property located in the hills close to the Etruscan & Roman city of Perugia, the historic capital of Umbria. It sleeps a total of 8 people, but has also been cleverly designed so that it is possible to close an interconnecting door and create two almost identical apartments called Rosso & Verde that each sleeps 4 people.

The Rosso & Verde apartments mirror one another and are both about 100 sq mts in size. The main entrance to each leads from the outer terrace into the downstairs reception room that combines a sitting/dining area with a kitchen. The Verde apartment also has an open fire which makes it particularly inviting during winter lets.

The kitchens are well equipped with oven, stove, sink, dishwasher and washing machine and every modern appliance.

The double bedroom on the ground floor is tastefully furnished with antiques and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom contains a bath/shower, bidet, basin and loo.

A staircase with wrought iron banister rails leads up to the mezzanine floor. The interconnecting door between the two apartments is located half way up this staircase. The mezzanine floor contains the second double bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Like the bedroom on the lower floor these are also tastefully decorated and furnished. The ensuite bathroom contains a bath & shower, bidet, basin and loo. The bath tub has a hydro-massage system. There is a further single bed in this room as well in case any group needs additional accommodation.

The 5 x 14 metres pool, positioned directly outside the villa, uses a salt based cleaning system that is gentle to the skin and the eyes. There is a plentiful supply of loungers and sun umbrellas for all guests to use.

A small terrace with chairs and table immediately in front of the villa allows you to dine al fresco.

Casa Ravano is located within a spacious country estate. The owner’s own large private house is situated on the other side of the garden and pool. An apartment in this house and another small cottage elsewhere in the garden are made available for renting by the owner. Casa Ravano itself has its own private entrance into the estate and also its own personal parking space for your cars, so it remains quite independent. The owners are a delightful Italian family that are on hand to help you with anything you might need during your stay.

The estate has a small collection of animals including horses and there are plenty of things for all ages to see and do, not only in the estate itself but in close proximity to this delightful property.

Lovely country walks are available directly from the estate. This avenue of ancient umbrella trees takes you from Casa Ravano into the glorious Umbria countryside that lies immediately on your door step. Views from here towards the south and west include Monte Subasio and Assisi in the distance. You are also very close to Perugia, the capital of Umbria. This magical city is renowned for many things; not least it’s Etruscan and Roman origins, but also its fabulous art gallery, its Perugino masterpieces everywhere and of course for its chocolates and the Umbria Jazz festival.

Approach Drive: An asphalt surface public road leads directly up to property. There is an independent entrance to both Rosso & Verde from the other properties @ Casa Ravano.
Parking: There is plenty of space for cars to park on the premises.
Animals / Pets on or near Premises: The owners have dogs & cats. There are horses in the neighbouring fields.
Linen & Towels: Linen and towels are provided and these will be changed for clean ones at the end of each week at a small extra cost.

Assistance: The owners live in a house on the estate and are on call to help at any time.
