Pianesante

Pianesante is a lovely 17th century stone farmhouse that lies in the heart of the beautiful and unspoilt countryside that surrounds Todi in southern Umbria. The restoration of the property, with old terracotta tiled floors and wooden beamed ceilings, has created really comfortable accommodation for 10 people. The unique swimming pool with dramatic loggia makes this a very special place in which to stay at any time of the year.

Alongside the front of the house a vine covered loggia covers the terrace that is paved with old stones. A large dining table and chairs allow guests to dine alfresco and gaze out at the lovely views.

At one end of the house there is a lovely light and airy drawing room with large open fireplace. A long dining table that seats 14 people is positioned near the french windows that open outside onto the front of the house.

Leading off from this room on the ground floor there are two bedrooms both with queen sized double beds and ensuite bathrooms.

The spacious kitchen with small breakfast dining area has an array of modern culinary facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. A door from this room leads directly out into the garden and the swimming pool terrace at the rear of the house.

A second living room on the ground floor leads off from the kitchen. With easy chairs, satellite TV and a large open fireplace this provides further space in which guests can relax.

Also on the ground floor there is a third double bedroom with twin beds and bathroom.

… the other two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen sized double bed and the other has twin beds.

One of the outstanding features of Pianesante is the swimming pool located directly alongside the house. It has a dramatic loggia running along the full length of the pool that provides the perfect shaded area for those lazy and indolent afternoon dozes.

Pianesante is located at the end of its own private road within a fenced garden, so you have complete privacy. Within the garden there is a large BBQ and wood oven for those external culinary experiences! There are lovely walks directly from the garden into the surrounding countryside.

Linen & Towels: Linen and towels are provided. The linen will be changed for clean ones at the end of each week and in addition all towels will changed mid week as well.
Towels for Swimming Pool Use: Additional towels are provided for use at the swimming pool.
Other Meals: A chef can prepare all meals on request and also provide cooking classes.
House Book: A very comprehensive house book is provided with extensive details of sights to visit and local restaurants.
Local Sport Facilities. Tennis, archery, horseback riding and trekking are available nearby.
Mountain Bikes. These are available for rent.
Assistance: The Todi Castle Estate has a concierge service that can help with a comprehensive range of additional services including banquets, weddings, cooking demonstrations, wine and truffle tastings, special evenings for celebrations (with entertainment), cultural tours, massages, saunas, hairdressing, babysitting, car and driver, car rental, pre arrival grocery purchase and many other “tailor made” services. It will be necessary to book these services in advance and we will give you the appropriate contact once a reservation is made.

Security/Breakage Deposit. Euro 500 or the equivalent in any currency is payable on arrival. This will be returned to you on departure less any necessary deductions.

Rental Periods: Available all year round for a minimum of 7 nights with changeover on Saturday. Included in the Rental Price: The rental price includes all taxes, the consumption of electricity, gas and water (for normal general usage), the use and laundry of bed linen & towels and final cleaning.
