Sant'Angelo

Sant’Angelo nestles in a quiet rural valley in Umbria. Situated in its own two acres of landscaped garden with mature terraced olive groves it has magnificent views of the valley and surrounding countryside. This beautiful stone farmhouse has been tastefully restored using original and antique materials and provides accommodation for two separate groups of four and one of two.

Alternatively, the whole property is ideal for a group of ten people who may want a degree of privacy during the day or evening in the three different parts of the property. These independent parts of the property are called Pantano, Rancolfo and Pietramelina and all have their own separate entrances and their own private terraces.

Pantano, which sleeps 4 people, is located at the top of the house. It has its own private entrance which leads off from a terrace from which there are lovely views along the valley.

The front door leads directly into the dining room.

There is an archway through to the sitting room with easy chairs and sofas. The clever layout of these two rooms gives a spacious and airy open plan feel to the main living space.

Leading from the lounge is a separate and fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, grill and hob.

There are two large double bedrooms. The first has a double bed.

The other has two single beds. Both bedrooms have high ceilings with chestnut beams and solid wood floors and lovely views from the windows

There is a large family bathroom complete with shower and fabulous old marble sink.

The living space in Rancolfo is particularly spacious and light and a traditional archway connects the comfortable lounge to the open plan kitchen/dining area.

The kitchen is well equipped with fridge freezer, oven, 4 ring hob and grill. This area was formerly used as a hayloft and still retains its unique double height ceiling and original chestnut beams.

There are two large double bedrooms, one master bedroom with king sized double bed and ensuite shower room.

The other bedroom has twin beds. There is a separate family shower room.

The private terrace for Rancolfo has wonderful views of the pool area and surrounding countryside.

Pietramelina is a really cosy, romantic nest of an apartment ~ ideal for a couple. It has its own entrance that leads onto a private terrace from which there are lovely views of the valley and the olive groves that surround Sant’Angelo.

French windows lead from the terrace into the fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven, 4 ring hob, grill and microwave.

This lovely bright and sun filled room has a dining and sitting area that provides masses of space for a couple.

There is a large twin bedroom (which can be made up as double or two single beds)

and an ensuite shower room with a very large walk-in shower unit.

The lovely 10 metre pool at Sant’Angelo is particularly children friendly and therefore ideal for families. The whole area is fenced and the pool has a shallow end with Roman steps.

The charming British owners of Sant’Angelo live in a separate part of the property and are available to help with many aspects of your holiday at their delightful home.  They can prepare a home made dish ready to pop in the oven complete with bread and local wine to await your arrival.  If you want a travel cot and baby pack containing many of those essential items you need, but don't necessarily want to pack in the suitcase, then they can help with this as well.  Please just ask when making a reservation.

Towels for Swimming Pool Use: Although towels are provided for the apartments, you are asked to provide your own pool towels.

Assistance: The owners live in another part of the property and are on call to help for those unusual events and circumstances that cannot be resolved by reading the house book.

Rental Facts
Currency for Payment: GBP sterling.

Rental Basis: Self-catering.
Rental Periods: Available for a minimum of 7 nights with changeover on Saturday during the summer months. Minimum of two nights stay during the winter months.
Rental Restrictions: No Pets.
Included in the Rental Price: The rental price includes all taxes, the consumption of electricity, gas and water (for normal general usage), the use and laundry of bed linen & towels (excluding pool towels) and reasonable final cleaning.
Not Included in the Rental Price: Central heating or any other requested services.
Breakage/Cleaning/Security Charge: A security deposit of Euro 200 is payable on arrival. This will be returned to you on departure less the cost of any damages incurred.
